UAC takes a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and creating art as a vehicle for advocating for critical community issues. Participants are all low income. 95% of their artists are Latino/a/x. Their workshops serve children and youth ages 5 to 18 in Salinas and Monterey County. Our programs engage parents, Hartnell College students ages 16 to 24, and adults with mild-to-severe disabilities.
