Salinas Valley Pride Celebrations is proud to offer the only LGBTQ+ focused scholarship in Monterey County.

 

This scholarship is designed to honor LGBTQ+ students and allies who embody Salinas Valley Pride Celebration's mission to create community and increase LGBTQ+ acceptance.

2024 LGBTQ+ Scholarship Program

In 2024, SVPC will be

awarding up to five $2000 scholarships!​

Application Due Date:

May 31st, 2024​​

Application Requirements:

​

  • LGBTQ+ student or Ally planning on pursing secondary education in 2024

  • Completed SVPC Scholarship application form

  • (2) Letters of recommendation from an educator, employer or community member

  • Personal Written Statement of 500 to 800 words describing how the applicant personally represents the Salinas Valley Pride Celebrations' mission

  • Unofficial Transcripts from your most recently attended school 

  • Proof of enrollment in an institution of secondary education - either enrollment in Fall/Summer classes or programs for 2024, a receipt showing payment, or letter of acceptance into the school for the fall 2024 semester, or other proof (if applicable)

  • Incomplete Applications will not be considered
